<\/p>\nIn compliance with its 'Exemplary Palmira Government Program', and under the motto 'Palmibus, moves us', the Administration of Mayor V\u00edctor Ramos, coordinates with the work team of the Ministry of Transit and Transportation of the Municipality, the implementation of the new Integrated Public Transportation System, SITP, urban passenger, which will begin operations this Monday, April 1, using the addition of green hydrogen as fuel.<\/p>\n
According to the Secretary of Transit and Transportation of Palmira, Erminson Ort\u00edz Soto, green hydrogen, also called renewable hydrogen, is one of the most innovative solutions for sustainable mobility, because it represents benefits in fuel savings, powering the engine and represents the least impact on the Environment.<\/p>\n

The implementation of the new SITP in Palmira was announced at a public event held in Parque Bol\u00edvar, last Tuesday, March 12. https:\/\/palmira.gov.co\/palmira-tendra-de-nuevo-el-servicio-de-transporte-publico-de-colectivos\/<\/p>\n
There, the mayor of Palmira, V\u00edctor Ramos, announced that, through joint work with the Secretary of Transit and Transportation, Erminson Ortiz Soto, the promise to reactivate urban public passenger transport in Palmira is fulfilled, implementing a new model, under the motto 'Palmibus, moves us'.<\/p>\n
This is a model that develops more fluid and safer mobility in the urban area of the Municipality. Palmibus begins operations with two new bus routes: La 1 and 11, which will be covered by a total of 24 buses.<\/p>\n
Unlike other cities, the innovation in the SITP for Palmira is that it will operate with the addition of green hydrogen.<\/p>\n
About, Juan Carlos Henao, who has been a green hydrogen researcher for 19 years<\/strong>, explained that this fuel works with filters adapted to vehicles using a water and nitrogen component<\/strong>. The benefits are several, but perhaps the most important is that it improves gas emissions without impact on the Environment. In addition, the Administration has certification from the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Mines and Energy.<\/p>\n According to Gustavo Wilches, who provided advice on the SITP process, \u201cthe free model starts on April 1 with a pilot that lasts 4 months, and from April 15 it starts with a rate that, in part, will be subsidized. The average frequency of the two initial routes will be 10 minutes.\u201d<\/p>\n In conclusion, Mayor V\u00edctor Ramos and the Transit Secretariat pay close attention to the fact that we must contribute to the Environment of all Palmyra residents.<\/p>\n
